A review of Martin Perry’s portfolio

The narrow depth of field and the 'against the light' flare make 'A muddy Forest pony' a lovely image, all it needs to improve it is a clear point of focus on the eyes. The odd composition of 'Friends in the flood' works rather well; 'Alone in a flooded field' and 'Trudging through the flood' are both grandiose and cinematic, the perspective of these wide angle lenses coupled with the reflections in the water combine perfectly. Another quirky composition is 'are you looking at me?' but ideally it would include the horses front hooves! The ghostly 'Sugarcube?' becomes almost surreal. This is a very accomplished, and rather beautiful, portfolio
